Will my system be covered even if it is old?
There is no age limit on heating or cooling systems.
What if my system is currently broken?
To enroll in E.S.P. for your heating or cooling system, you first need to get
your system in working condition, and NIPSCO Retail Services can make
arrangements for that with one of our NIPSCO service technicians or
prequalified repair experts. While you will be responsible for the cost of the
initial repair, you may then enroll in E.S.P, and all future repairs will be
covered.
How long would it take to fix my system?
You can expect to have your system back FAST - usually within
hours.
For Inside Electric Line and Inside Gas Line:
What if my inside lines are currently in need of repair?
E.S.P. does not cover the cost of repairing an existing condition, but you can
still enroll in the program. NIPSCO Retail Services can make arrangements for
the repair with one of our repair experts. While you will be responsible for
the cost of this initial repair, all future repairs will be covered.
When does coverage begin?
Coverage will begin after your first E.S.P. payment is applied or 15 days after
enrollment (whichever is later). Your E.S.P. coverage will appear on your next
utility bill. Please pay your utility bill promptly to ensure coverage. Do
not send in checks for E.S.P. at time of enrollment.
How long would it take to complete the repairs made to inside electric or
gas lines?
You can expect to have your repair completed promptly – usually within 24
hours.
